Get ready to experience three days of adrenaline and great emotions: from December 20 to 22, 2025, the Gran Risa slope in Alta Badia will once again host the elite of world skiing for two unmissable races of the season.
From December 20 to 22, 2025, the Alta Badia valley will transform into an international stage for sport: Gran Risa will host the men’s Alpine Ski World Cup stage. The event includes, among its highlights, the opening party on Friday, December 20, followed by competitions on December 21 and 22.
The Gran Risa slope, located in La Villa (BZ) and immersed in the unique landscape of the Dolomites, is recognized as one of the most technical and fascinating courses on the circuit: with an elevation drop of about 448 m, a length of around 1,255 m and a maximum gradient reaching up to 69%.
An event that unites sport, culture and territory: the entire Ladin community, with more than 1,000 volunteers, will welcome athletes and spectators for two days of ski spectacle, entertainment and celebration of the mountain.
The assignment of Gran Risa to the World Cup dates back to December 1985, when Sweden’s Ingemar Stenmark won the inaugural race on the course. Since then, the slope has become a fixed stop on the circuit, marked by legendary names in giant slalom and international alpine skiing: among these stand out Alberto Tomba, who achieved four victories here, and Marcel Hirscher, with an impressive series of triumphs.
Every December, Gran Risa hosts giant slalom races, occasionally also special or parallel slalom, and confirms its reputation as the “wall” of specialists: those who compete here know that the result speaks of technique, steady nerves and perfect preparation.
This event is not just sporting: it’s a showcase for the Dolomite area, an opportunity to experience the mountain in spectacular fashion, and for Club Moritzino a perfect opportunity to invite members, guests and friends to participate in a memorable experience.
